Tony Stonem (Nicholas Hoult)Tony is a first class womanizer, a wanker. He has the looks, the brains, the charm and the girl. Though he doesn't care about his girlfriend, doesn't really care about the world, all he only care was that life is a game and he's playing it well. As for what his girlfriend Michelle said, he only cared about his sister, Effie who for Tony, knows him best.
Sid Jenkins (Mike Bailey)
Sid is a lack of confidence, pathetic, paranoid kid who sees his best friend Tony as an idol who has everything. Even his dream girl Michelle. Sid is still a virgin and somehow he waits for Michelle to one day actually love him back. Sid's life is a big mess and he stutters his words on it. Sid never trust himself where he only do is when he messes up.
Michelle Richardson (April Pearson)
Michelle is Tony's girlfriend who always lie to herself that she was Tony's only one. Michelle has a stepdad (had two stepdads) who is 7 years older than her, which she hated. Michelle always said that she would look shaggable so Tony would always shag her. Michelle also knew that Sid was fairly in love with her.
Cassie Ainsworth (Hannah Murray)
Cassie is a blonde, happy girl with eating disorder, where she can't stop eating when she does. Cassie has been in therapy for awhile and told herself again and again that she's fine, which she wasn't. She haven't been eating and only took pills and drink water to survive. She had a few hallucinations due to the pills. She has a thing for Sid.
Chris Miles (Joseph Dempsie)
Chris uses viagra daily just because he likes it. Chris was considered the clown of the group. Although, behind the mask, Chris was very lonely, a bastard of his parents. Even his mother abandoned him. He now only lives with a gold fish. Chris likes his psychology teacher, Angie and stood by her everyday to get his shot.
Maxxie Oliver (Mitch Hewer)
Maxxie is openly gay and is comfortable with his status. He is a phenomenal dancer and wanted to be a dancer one day. Maxxie is somehow the gay slut, as he sleeps with every guy that wanted to. Maxxie is best friends with Anwar, a Muslim boy, who shuts down on him sometimes for his sexuality. Maxxie is also good in Arts and kept a portrait of everyone in his book.
Anwar Kharral (Dev Patel)
Anwar is an Indian Muslim, but doesn't live like one. He prays 5 times a day, but never really know why. Anwar has always been best friends with Maxxie but Maxxie's sexuality worried him as he is a Muslim. Anwar's dad is very strict but always obeys his mum. Anwar believed in his God but never really applied them on a practical way as he does coke and smoke pots.
Jal Fazer (Larissa Wilson)
Jal is a rich girl whose father doesn't care to look at her as she was similar to her runaway mum. Jal is the most understanding friend of the bunch and she never protest on being herself. Jal plays the clarinet for her college and was very good at them. Unlike Michelle, Jal never showed that she was the hottie under the clothes she was wearing but deep fact, she is.
